These messages are tailored for individuals residing in coastal regions and other areas susceptible to flooding or landslides, offering timely alerts about impending severe weather conditions. The improvements in flood forecasting and early warning systems now extend the advance warning period to up to 15 days, a significant enhancement from the previous three days.
